Iran and Other Countries to have Nuclear Talks

Unit 3
Iran and six other countries agreed to have talks about the nuclear program in Iran.  The talks are aiming to end the nuclear program confrontations.  Details were not very specific and not a lot is known about what will be discussed.  The European Union's foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton said, "We had three very productive days during which we have identified all the issues we need to address to reach a comprehensive and final agreement.  There is a lot to do.  It won't be easy, but we have made a good start."  An American official also said that all the issues American issue of concern will be discussed.  Only the Iranian nuclear program will be discussed in the meetings.  The six-month deal that freezes Iran's program expires in July.  The deal can be extended.
I think that this is a great thing.  I'm happy that we are meeting civilly to discuss issues that face our world today.  I'm glad that we don't have to go to war over Iran's nuclear program.  I hope that a deal that benefits all can be reached.  I think that it would be good if representatives were able to extend the six-month program and allow Iran and other countries to have more time to work out other issues with Iran.

  1. I also think it is great that several countries are meeting over this issue. Hopefully a compromise can be reached that will not increase the tensions between Iran and several other countries.

  2. I think it would be a good idea to talk this all out and hopefully freeze Iran's program again. Unless there is some good negotiatiating that is beneficial and not harmful to anyone. Hopeful Iran is also very happy to comply because I guess you never know.

  3. Yeah I agree with you Nathan. The talks need to be beneficial. I hope that Iran doesn't get agitated over the Crimea problem in Ukraine and stop all talks with other countries.

  4. Wow! I think that this is genius! if everything actually works out. Eliminating this kind of stuff is definitely what we need to do. I feel like if one country starts it first that others will follow the example and also comply. It will be interesting to see if they actually do it
